Captives are an efficient and effective mechanism for establishing greater control over risk transfer, risk allocation, and risk financing decisions. They serve as an integral part of the strategic planning of organizations and play an increasingly important role in risk management.

International Employee Benefit Programs:

Savings are achieved without changing the terms and/or conditions of the benefits valued by the employees. This brief overview summarizes the advantages of working with an established team of experts who have an in-depth knowledge of a corporation’s captive insurance needs for operational risks, underwriting performance, sound business development and, in particular, employee benefit financing requirements.

Brian Quinn is recognized globally as a leader in the area of reinsuring international employee benefits (IEB) into a captive. With his 15+ years of IEB experience, he and his team have designed “made to measure” employer and employee paid programs in over 65 countries globally and put in place “insured via captive” solutions in countries where these are not typical or thought to be unachievable. Global annual premium savings of 35% have been achieved while maintaining all of the former benefit program terms and conditions.

The Granite team have a proven track record in prudent management of a captive from reporting, auditing, compliance, and pro-active claims management, along with setting and following agreed underwriting guidelines set by the appropriate committees to provide the parent company with substantial cost savings as demonstrated by Granite’s Economic Value Added (EVA) metric.
